Welcome to HUG (Hintgen Elementary School Urban Garden)!
Hintgen Elementary School was designed in 2018 with input from the staff and the Hintgen Garden Committee. Grow La Crosse offers hands-on garden education with each class (4K-5th grade) and this school.
One special feature in this garden is the Hmong demonstration area. This area is influenced by the 4K teacher PaHoua Vang. She helps plant a few traditional Hmong plants (like the variety of cucumber shown below) and explains how they are used in cooking.
