10.20.20 Season Reflections & Opportunity to Double Your Impact

Season Reflections
Our gardens flourished over the growing season.  This success was possible through the contributions of many dedicated volunteers and interns and of course our talented operations director, Linda leading the workforce.  Even the three gardens that were built later in the season have seen beautiful growth.

Students have been able to enjoy garden produce snacks with their school lunch hand-outs.  The lunch pick up sites have also allowed us a way to distribute fresh produce take home bags for families to enjoy. We are especially thankful to Heather and her team of nutrition program staff that gave us a warm welcome each time we arrived with produce and helped get these fresh healthy foods into the hands of our students.

As the cold temperatures set in we reflect with much gratitude on the opportunities for growth, community involvement and promoting fresh local food to the families in our community this growing season.
Double Your Impact!

Kujak Orthodontics will generously match all donations made to GROW before October 30th up to $2,500!

Fall Cultural Connections lessons will reach over 1,600 children. We need your help to fund these lessons.

Please donate and share to help us reach our goal.

Intern Spotlight

Meet Danielle, Garden Intern!

Danielle is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, majoring in Biology. We are excited to have Danielle returning to GROW for this fall internship.

If she looks familiar it is because she started her internship with us last spring, though her time with us was interrupted due to COVID school closures. She is ready and excited to help kids get sustainable food and learn how to grow and appreciate it.

Danielle has spent many hours helping to make our gardens productive and beautiful since the start of the fall semester.  We appreciate all of the time and talent she is sharing with us.  Welcome back, Danielle!
