This Sunday, June 10
2-4pm
Deep Roots Community Farm
$6/person, $20 family

Join Derek Berkheim from Seekers Wild for a course on wilderness survival skills.  The class will open with a survival skills talk.  Everyone will learn how to build a friction fire, and practice the skill. We’ll also embark on a wild edible and medicinal plant walk.  Finally, we’ll learn how to make cordage/rope from plant materials and follow this up with a short “survival skills” Q & A while we work on our cordage.

JUNE THROUGH AUGUST
Sign up for 3 or more days to help with the school garden.  We will send an email close to your volunteer date with directions.  You will check the TASK BOARD at the gardens to see how you can help that day!  Most days you will be asked to water and weed the gardens.  Volunteers are welcome to harvest vegetables to take home too.
