12.1.25 Giving Season Update • Matching Fund Announcement

Giving Season Matching Fund

Announcing an opportunity to double your impact.”I can see students connecting with nature. I have students who don’t spend much time outside, so having a school garden allows them to connect with nature. I had a moment this year where a student was just taken away by the milkweed seeds. They were taken back by how soft the seeds were. I told the student to release the seeds to see how they flew and the student was again, just shocked at how the seeds hovered and glided through the air. I think this was the first time my student ever experienced milkweed. It was pretty awesome!”

This heartfelt story shared by Mr. Mickschl, a 4th and 5th-grade teacher, illustrates the inspiring power of nature when students are given the opportunity to appreciate and interact with the environment.

Over the years, our mission has remained steadfast, but our reach has expanded significantly. Through hard work, quality programming, and community demand, we have GROWn to offer year-round programming, including greenhouse field trips, outreach initiatives, and enhanced school garden programs.

Celebrating 13 years of growth, our board members have created a matching fund. The first $2,250 donated to GROW will be matched, effectively doubling your gift and impact! We invite you to donate to help us launch into a new year of connecting youth to healthy food and nature.

Please consider donating this giving season to support quality hands-on garden-based learning that positively impacts the health of the youth we serve.

Help us reach our year-end fundraising goal of $15,000 in honor of a year of remarkable growth and the countless awe-inspiring connections to healthy food and nature yet to come. Your donation will make a positive impact on the lives of the youth we serve. Thank you from all of us at GROW and the students who will benefit from your generosity.Support the health of our future leaders – donate today!
