| Connecting children to healthy food and nature Happy Holidays from the GROW Team! Thank you for sharing your time, talents and resources with GROW this year. We have some great news to share about what we have accomplished together. GROW garden lessons reached 1,943 children in 2019. We now have gardens at eight sites in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Students at each school have three spring and three fall lessons. In the spring of 2020 we will be adding a new garden at Emerson Elementary School. Summer farm camps hosted 330 children, almost completely FREE of charge! For six weeks of the summer students were engaged in hands-on learning on the farm during 4 day camps. Children were involved in real farming and nature exploration. The Edible Schoolyard at Hamilton was installed. After years of planning and community collaboration the Edible Schoolyard at Hamilton/SOTA was installed by students and volunteers. This asset to the community will provide healthy foods annually.      Thank you for your part in making 2019 a wonderful year. We look forward to what working together will bring in 2020!  |
