Final Fall Lessons Last week, GROW wrapped up our garden lessons for 2019! During the caring work lesson students at La Crescent-Hokah Elementary school harvested dried beans, planted garlic for the spring, and then covered the freshly planted garlic with straw to provide insulation over the winter. Intern Spotlight Meet the next great intern this fall semester, Emalie! Emalie is a Nutrition & Outdoor Educator Intern. She spends her time at La Cresent-Hokah Elementary School helping lead the school garden lessons, as well as taking care of the gardens when needed. Emalie would love to teach her own garden lessons someday.
