It’s always a magical time when, after months away for some students, they return to their gardens and discover the awesomeness of the changes that have happened over the summer. The small seeds that were planted during cold, wet spring lessons have turned into enormous plants with produce to harvest.
During their first fall garden lesson a scavenger hunt helped students search for and find plants growing around the garden. Some lucky students even found treasures that weren’t on the assignment when they discovered Monarch caterpillars and chrysalis growing on the milkweed in the garden!
