Impact to Celebrate
We are grateful for our partnership with La Crosse Public Schools. As we come to the end of the first full growing season supported by the District’s fund 80, the positive impacts of this collaboration are clear.
💚 Over 2,500 students participated in garden lessons across the District. 💚 Three additional schools had new or improved gardens installed. 💚 GROW educators taught 877 garden lessons. 💚 The pounds of produce more than doubled last year’s harvest. This produce was donated to the school nutrition sites and used in garden lessons.
Many thanks to the administrators, teachers, school nutrition, buildings and grounds personnel and families that have believed in and supported the mission of connecting youth to healthy food and nature throughout the years. This year of strengthened partnership and deeper impact is something to celebrate!
