Happy New Year!
Hamilton/SOTA I Update
Snow has blanketed our school garden and although the garden lays dormant for the next few months, winter in Wisconsin provides an opportunity to dream about our spring garden, reflect on what worked and didn’t work during the last growing season and to think about what new plants or techniques we may want to experiment with in the spring. We have a garden committee made up of parents, students and school staff that are doing some of that dreaming, reflecting and planning right now as we think about the possibilities of expanding our school garden at Hamilton/SOTA 1 Schools! We thank them for their time and energy. If you are interested in helping with this process, please let us know.
Thank you to the individuals and families that participated in our CIRCLE OF GIVING campaign in December. These generous donations allow us to continue to provide quality garden programming and maintenance in our school gardens! We will be adding tomatoes until our Donor Appreciation Party in December.
Also, thank you to the following individuals and families that helped with garden lessons and garden maintenance in 2016: Tracy and Audrey Endrizzi, Deborah Nerud and family, the Metelko Family, Liza Ware, Beth Moore, Kim Dahl, Faith Wagner and family, the Sobolik Family, Barb Wettstein, Jourdan Stacey, the Seehafer Family, Radhika Agarwal, Heather Rabe, Paula Keller, and Teri Amann! Your extra time and effort are so appreciated!
