Grateful For School Nutrition Staff

Our wonderful outdoor growing season has now come to an end and all of our GROW staff, interns and volunteers are incredibly thankful for our healthy gardens that produced hundreds of pounds of produce for our school this season.

I, Linda the Operations Director at GROW, would personally like to give a huge THANK YOU to the School District of La Crosse school nutrition staff that welcomed me and the fresh produce with big smiles and open arms all season long, to then prepare the goods for distribution to the students.

It’s great partnerships like this that increase the important accessibility to fresh foods for our schools’ families. We at GROW, look forward to continuing this collaboration for many future growing seasons to come.

We are lucky to have such wonderful people in our community! Thank you for helping connect students with healthy food.

What are you excited about with GROW?
I am excited to connect nutrition with agriculture, I truly believe this connection is vital in preventing many of the health disparities we see today. Education in this area for younger populations provides an opportunity to be present and mindful with nutrition.
