 Connecting children to healthy food and natureSend a Child to Farm Camp We have been busy planning another wonderful summer on the farm. This summer we will host 9 weeks of camps connecting children to nature and healthy food through farm experiences! To make camps accessible to all children we strive to offer them free of charge. Through a partnership with the School District of La Crosse, grants, business sponsorships and individual donations we are able to offer 8 of the 9 weeks of camp at no cost to participants. We are still looking for a few more funders to make this possible.  Just a few of the great reasons campers loved farm camp last summer:“I love working in the garden!” • “I like to groom the horses.” • “You get to get muddy!” • “The people around us are so nice.” • “We get to try new things.”You can help make this summer of free farm camp programing available by donating $23 to send one child to camp for a week. There will be multiple sessions of “Summer On The Farm” engaging students in real farm work. The “Empowered Girls” camp will return again as well. The goal of this camp is to empower girls in a supportive environment to help them realize they are brilliant, creative, and fully capable of being the next generation of PhD students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Two NEW farm camps are being offered! Students in grades 1-3, our youngest campers yet, can participant in “Grow On The Farm”. They will dig, run, build, draw, garden, eat and discover. “HPL Science On The Farm” is another new camp. We are excited to present a hands-on experience for students to learn sustainable practices to help reverse global warming.
