| August Volunteers Needed! So far this summer we have been able to harvest and distribute almost 400 pounds of produce from the school gardens! This has been possible through the care of our amazing team of interns, staff and volunteers. Over the next few weeks our interns will be returning to their school activities. This means we have a much greater need for volunteer support. Can you help watering and light weeding in one of the gardens once or twice? We want to be sure students will find their gardens flourishing when school starts. You can find volunteer sign ups for each of the gardens here. We just ask that you sign up, so we know when a garden is being cared for. If you have not volunteered yet this year or have not been receiving volunteer weekly emails, reach out to Amy@growlacrosse.org for details.   Farm Camp Magic Nature art, chicken snuggles, creek exploration and fresh produce… Do you know where all of these things come together? Farm camp! This summer nearly 100 students spent time at Deep Roots Community Farm, our partner for farm experiences, during farm camp. These camps allow youth to unplug and connect with the natural world in the most magical way. We could say more, but as the saying goes, a picture is worth 1000 words.      |
