| The Great GROW Get Together is TOMORROW Construction & Raffles The Great GROW Get Together is only one day away! Tickets will be available at the door and can still be purchased online. Here are a few of the things we have planned to make this an event you will not want to miss: • Live music – The dynamic old-time duo of Josh Rabie and Russell Pedersen combine fiddle and banjo traditions into a unique blend of thundering instrumentals and original music. Beautiful harmonies honed in coulee country blanket a spread of down-home songs about the Midwest. Russell is a member of the Wisconsin based touring band Horseshoes & Hand Grenades and Josh captain’s an electric Americana outfit named Echo Black River. Their music is sure to bring a dance to your feet and a smile to your face.• Great Food – Local chefs working with Performance Food Group / Reinhart Foods will be serving amazing foods using garden taste test and winning Kids Cooking Challenge recipes. Pearl Street Brewery will also be selling taps with a portion of all sales being donated back to GROW. • Entertainment – There will be carnival style games with prizes and face painting to keep the kids busy and happy. • Silent Auction & Raffles – We have fantastic items that have been donated by local businesses and GROW supporters for our silent auction. There will be a 50/50 raffle and we will draw the winning eBike raffle ticket. Things to know – Event tickets can be purchased on-line now. Event ticket prices include all of the things listed above (except Pearl Street beverages – those will be sold separately). You can purchase a $25 raffle ticket for a chance to win a RUSH/STEP-THRU eBike. This bike has a retail value of $4,999! The drawing will take place at 7:30pm on August 25th at the Great GROW Get Together. eBike Raffle tickets can be purchased until 7 pm the day of the event. You do not have to attend the event to purchase an eBike raffle ticket, nor do you need to be present to win. If you would like to make arrangements to meet at our greenhouse to purchase tickets email intern@growlacrosse.org. La Crosse Street Construction – The Main entrance to Myrick Park is still open. The best way to approach the entrance is from Hwy 16 / Losey Blvd. See the map below to help navigate the construction. Lawn Chairs – Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket if you’d like to have seat outside to enjoy your food and music on the lawn. Public Health – La Crosse County is currently in the high transmission for COVID. We recommend masking indoors and encourage participants to mind distancing. |
