| The 1st week of fall garden lessons We are continuing our growing season theme of Exploring Community In Our Garden. In Lesson 1, we are talking about Pollinator Syndromes or how flowers have adapted to attract certain types of pollinators. Students are searching the gardens for flowers with certain characteristics; just like pollinators do. They are also enjoying taste tests of the big variety of produce that’s ready to harvest. If you have a child currently in garden lessons ask them if they tried anything new!     Attend the 2024 Great GROW Get-Together! The Great GROW Get-Together will be our biggest fundraiser of the year. Join us on Sunday, October 13th to celebrate and support hands-on garden-based education.This family friendly event at The Nature Place will feature: • Live music by the Mr. Blink Trio • Local chef made food using winning Kids Cooking Challenge & Garden Recipes • Silent Auction & Raffle Items • Face Painting • Carnival Style Games • Live Critter Visits with Nature Place staff • Local Author, Nick Nichols, will read-aloud his newest book, Pollinator ParadeTickets: $20 Adult ticket prices include: food, entertainment, & access to an amazing silent auction.
