| Final Fall Lessons Last week, GROW wrapped up our garden lessons for 2019! During the caring work lesson students at La Crescent-Hokah Elementary school harvested dried beans, planted garlic for the spring, and then covered the freshly planted garlic with straw to provide insulation over the winter. | Intern Spotlight Meet the next great intern this fall semester, Emalie! Emalie is a Nutrition & Outdoor Educator Intern. She spends her time at La Cresent-Hokah Elementary School helping lead the school garden lessons, as well as taking care of the gardens when needed. Emalie would love to teach her own garden lessons someday.
