9.29.25 Al’s Musky Challenge Update
| Dear Friends, Right now, youth in our community need us more than ever. That’s why the Downtown Rotary Club’s Al’s Musky Challenge is raising funds to benefit three local organizations dedicated to helping kids grow, learn, and thrive: • GROW – connecting youth to healthy food and nature through hands-on garden-based experiences to nourish growing minds and bodies. • Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region – providing one-to-one mentoring to strengthen youth mental health and wellbeing. • La Crosse Community Theatre – inspiring creativity, confidence, and self-expression through the arts. Thanks to Al’s generosity, we’ve already raised $15,000 toward our $30,000 goal, but we need your help to finish strong. When you donate through the Musky Challenge, your gift supports all three organizations, allowing your dollars to go farther and multiply the impact for youth across our community. Together, your support will help us strengthen mental health, inspire creativity, and promote healthy living for hundreds of kids and families. You also have the option to give directly to the individual organization of your preference. Either way, your gift makes a significant difference in helping to shape brighter futures. Please join us today in meeting this challenge and helping youth across our region. https://secure.qgiv.com/for/bigbrothersbigsistersofthe7riversregion/event/castingforkidssupportthe7thannualmuskychallenge/ With gratitude, Kari & Bonnie of GROW Jeanne of Big Brothers Big Sisters Eric of The La Crosse Theater Al’s Musky Challenge We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the organizations that will benefit from the 2025 Al’s Musky Challenge! This year marks the 7th Annual Musky Challenge. From June through early October, Rotarian Al Louis will be fishing Lake Vermilion in Northern Minnesota. This year, he will fish with his fishing partners, both named A.J., as well as multiple sponsor guests and fellow Rotarians. Al is challenging fellow Rotarians and community members to contribute to the annual event by a flat dollar pledge or a pledge per fish caught in the boat. The funds raised this year will be split between GROW, Big Brothers Big Sisters of La Crosse and the La Crosse Community Theater. In six years of fundraising, Al has raised nearly $1 million. The funds have consistently supported programs and organizations that serve children throughout the Coulee Region. You can learn more or make a donation by following this link. |
