August Farm Camp Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of the Women’s Fund of Greater La Crosse we are able to offer scholarships for our August Farm Camps.  There are still openings in both the Art Exploration and the Budding Scientists camps.  Any student entering 2nd – 8th grade is eligible to attend these camps. Are you ready to dig, run, build, draw, garden, eat and discover? GROW  presents Summer on the Farm, where students will plant, tend, and harvest fruits and vegetables and explore where our food comes from. Students will also learn how to identify species and understand the relationship between each part of the farm and the larger ecosystem. We will spend time each day being active outside including: hiking up the bluffs, building forts, splashing in the creek, and caring for the animals at the farm.

Open Gardens Are a Hit!

We have had fantastic attendance at all of our Open Garden events so far this summer.  The word has gotten out – these events are a hit!

There are fun and engaging activities planned for all of our Open Garden events.  Each Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm and Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 am you will be able to attend an event at one of our school gardens.  The location will rotate from garden to garden throughout the summer. These events are FREE and open to the public.

Open Garden events offer the community a hands-on opportunity to explore, harvest and connect with nature in our growing spaces.  For a full schedule of locations and activities go to our webpage. Follow us on social media to stay up to date on additional activities and weather related updates.
