New School Garden

We’re growing.collage

Harry Spence Elementary School is the next location for a Grow La Crosse school garden.  Enthusiastic parents, community members, school staff and Grow La Crosse staff have been instrumental in the planning of the garden.

The new garden is plotted to be in an old playground area that is rarely used anymore.

Next steps will include grant writing.  Once grants are written and winners are announced, the garden committee will assess what can be scheduled for this upcoming spring.

Thank You to Fall Festersfall-festival-collage

Our fourth annual Fall Festival on the Farm was a success.

We appreciate all sponsors, participants and volunteers who helped this year.  The afternoon was fill with food trucks, an online and in-person silent auction, live music, activities and cooking demonstrations

There were over 500 people who attended and over $15,000 was raised to connect children with healthy food and nature.  A big thank you to the Robert & Eleanor Franke Charitable Foundation for helping us meet this goal by matching $4000 of our silent auction funds.  This is our largest fundraiser to date.  The Fall Festival helps supplement our school garden programs and farm experiences.
