The Kids Cooking Challenge Results

Congratulations to all 71 of the Kids Cooking Challenge participants for making the choice to explore healthy foods.  52 of those participants completed the 5th Kids Cooking Challenge with amazing results!  It was nearly impossible for our judges to chose just four winners for this event as the competition was fierce.  All of the young chefs should be very proud of themselves.

The winners are:
Advanced 12 and under:  Brooks Cooks, Fancy Fall Feast
Honorable Mention:
Lingonberry Bakery
Chef Aimsleigh

Beginner 12 and under: Chef Ellis, Tasty steak roll-ups with oh so yummy cooked squash and apples
Honorable Mention:
Chef Charlotte
Chef Addy
Isaiah’s Inventions

Advanced teen: Kate’s Kreations, Parmesan wrapped pork with apple berry chutney and savory squash cups
Honorable Mention:
Chef David
Master Chef on Duty

Beginner teen: Ellie’s Eats, Autumn Kale Salad with Cream Cheese Stuffed Meatballs
Everyone wins when you combine healthy ingredients and kids in the kitchen.  To see images of all of the recipes submitted go to our website.  You will see the talent, pride and confidence in the entries.  You just might get a few recipe ideas too!
Special Thanks!

Special Thanks to the Western Technical College students led by chef and educator Margaret Ninneman for sharing their expertise and time as the judges for this event. It is not an easy task!

We also want to share our appreciation for all of those who have donated to sponsor a young chef and our event sponsors.  Thank you to Van Lin Orchards for the amazing, huge Pazazz apples and to Festival Foods for donating many ingredients.
