12.18.24 Giving Update • Happy New Year
Year End Giving Update We are nearing our year end-giving goal. Mrs. Valentine shares, “When we dig in the dirt and teach students how to take care of plants, we are showing them how they can grow their own food, and see their own results. You can’t tell the difference between high level learners and low level learners. In the garden, we all get dirty hands, and we all get to feel successful as a team.” Ms. Valentine a 4th grade teacher at State Road Elementary School knows the value of hands-on garden education and the success of a team. Through the generosity of supporters like you, the Giving Tuesday matching fund our board of directors shared and a generous donation from the Altra Live Your Best Life Award, we have raised $11,720 of our $15,000 year end goal. We are close to reaching our goal, but it will take a team to get us there. Please, help us to nourish growing minds and bodies by making a donation today. All funds will go directly to connecting youth to healthy food and nature through hands-on, garden-based learning experiences in school garden, greenhouse and farm programming.
