Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Survey to help us know where you’d like to volunteer and what type of work you are interested in.  This fulfilling work makes an amazing impact on the youth we serve.  Be a part of our mission and sign up to volunteer today!
Wisconsin School Garden DayGovernor Evers has proclaimed Thursday, May 19, 2022 is Wisconsin School Garden Day!

Wisconsin is a leader in garden-based education. This day brings recognition to the people and programs giving Wisconsin’s youth access to innovative, hands-on educational opportunities.

We will be celebrating this special day with a legacy project with the 5th grade students at State Road Elementary School, GROW’s first school garden built 10 years ago. Students will join us in the garden to paint garden rocks to leave their mark on the school garden as these GROW garden lesson alumni move onto middle school next year.

Students at Hamilton/SOTAI will also be celebrating with school garden lessons. We will be hosting a group of 3rd and 4th graders for a field trip at Deep Roots Community farm on this celebration day too.  You can watch our social media for some special school garden day videos that highlight the amazing things that happen in the gardens throughout the growing season or just find time to do some gardening yourself to honor the day.
