Connecting children to healthy food and nature
Scout Builds Garden and Community
On Monday June 15, GROW along with the help of many volunteers broke ground on our newest location right next to the La Crescent Food Shelter.

This was all made possible because of the leadership of Troup 33 La Crescent Boy Scout Nick Drye. Nick’s goal is to show leadership skills while helping the community as part of getting the rank of Eagle Scout. He will be working with GROW along with a number of community organizations including the Rotary Club, Houston County Master Gardeners, and the school district to accomplish this goal.

For more on this amazing addition to the GROW community, check out this news coverage by WXOW News 19.

Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour
We are so excited to announce the beginning of our annual Garden Tour, virtual edition! Hillview ran this event annually and we are very excited to keep that tradition alive. Even though it will be virtual this summer, it will be just as fun and continue to unite our community by highlighting the beauty and success of local gardens.

This year, all submissions will be placed online at GROWLaCrosse.org/garden-tour. You will also be able to find categories, prizes, and all of the registration materials needed to join in on the virtual fun. We are accepting submissions now through July 31st.  We cannot wait to see your gardens!
