7.30.2020 Last Chance to Enter

Last Chance to Enter the Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour!
Our summer fundraiser is coming to an end. We will be accepting submission to enter the Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour until Friday (7/31) at midnight. Photoshoots can still be purchased as well. We cannot wait to see and share all of the hard work you have put into your gardens this summer! Head over to our webpage for more information.
Fall Cultural Lessons
We are hoping to be able to bring children back in the gardens at some point this fall for our Cultural Connections Lessons. If we are not able to connect with the students face to face, we will be creating and sharing virtual lessons for teachers and parents to utilize the outdoors. No matter what the future brings, we will continue to connect children to nature and healthy lifestyles.
GROW Your Outdoor Learning Skills
Facebook Live Event
Being outdoors has shown to be one of the safest places during the pandemic, so we want to help create learning opportunities outdoors while you are at home.  Please check our website for resources and join us for “GROW your outdoor learning skills” an online discussion with ideas for taking your learning outdoors and we’ll take feedback on what resources to help further provide this fall. Join us: Tuesday, August 18th at noon for a Facebook Live event.
School Lunch Handouts
Since the vegetable crops are in full bloom, we have been sharing the harvest at different elementary school lunch handouts. At State Road Elementary on Tuesday we were able to share zucchini, cucumber, kale, dill, basil, and beans!
Thank You Children GROWers!
We are thrilled to see so many kids participating in our Virtual Bountiful Garden Tour. We appreciate all the hard work each child put into their gardens, and we cannot wait for the rest of the community to see what a great job they have done!
Thank You For Being Part of Our Community
Together we know we will make it through these unprecedented times here are three ways you can support our mission:
Make a donation online or get directions to mail a check at GROWLaCrosse.org.
Sign up to make monthly donations: just $5 to $10/month will provide lessons for 2 to 4 children for a year.
Advocate for us by sharing our mission with a family member or friend. Even a quick mention on your social media would mean the world to us. A Facebook fundraiser to recognize a birthday or anniversary is a wonderful way to share our mission and generate funds.
In times like this, we’re reminded of how interconnected we all are. Thank you for being part of our community. Without you, none of it is possible.
